Leslie Robert Stellman, Esq. has been in the practice of education, labor and employment law for over 26 years, and is currently the Chairman of the Labor and Education Department at Hodes, Pessin & Katz, P.A., where he represents employers in a variety of industries and businesses ranging from meatpacking companies to bottling, food service, retail grocery stores, and pharmaceutical manufacturers. In addition, Mr. Stellman represents public school systems throughout Maryland in the areas of labor relations, collective bargaining, and employment discrimination. Among his clients is the Maryland Staffing Association, which comprises temporary staffing agencies from throughout the state, for whom he has presented programs on a variety of labor relations issues. Mr. Stellman is a frequent speaker on such subjects as wrongful discharge, age discrimination, sexual harassment, managing a diverse workforce, employing temporary and contract employees, drafting employee handbooks, disability compliance, and most recently, employee privacy rights under the Health Portability Protection Act ("HPPA"). Mr. Stellman regularly appears before the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the U.S. Department of Labor, the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs ("OFCCP"), and represents employers in such matters as wage-hour compliance, safety and health enforcement actions, collective bargaining and labor arbitration matters.
